Lol, I see Shamil Tarp. is talking some smack again... I think he puts too much emphasis on quantity rather than quality.. as I see it, there has never been a period of time when a male or female Russian tennis player dominated the sport. Fed Cup should not even be in conversation since most of the top players from top nations don't even play in it. Davis Cup is different and more presitgeous but still number 1 player in the world doesn't put much effort in DC and if he did, the chances are he could have won it for Swiss single- handedly.
