Rafael Nadal wasn't particularly sharp today, but he beguiled Dmitry Tursunov with his serve.

Face of the Day! - I love the many faces of Rafa. So elastic, so mobile, so interesting. He has a hundred funny variations.
Vamos, baby!
Yes, he certainly does have that doesn't he oddman?! Tursinov turned up the heat in the 2nd set but couldn't maintain. Rafa faces Daveeeed next and let's hope he can dispatch him quickly. Go Rafa!!!!
Am I the only nervous Rafa fan today? He's never even taken a set off of Nalbandian, and it was not even close.
I'll have faith in Rafa's progress and Uncle Toni's coaching. Rafa WILL beat him today - in straights!
There ... I feel better.
If Rafa beats Fat David, he wins this title.
I'm always a nervous Rafa fan, Pamela. Nalby is a dangerous guy, and seems to delight in taking down top seeds. However, sounds like he's been quite inconsistent lately, let up hope that he is inconsistent today.
He hasn't met Rafa for a long time either... Rafa has improved since.
I like Rafa's chances.
sending some little words upward to the heavens for a Rafa-win tonight! kinda nervous though....
Pamela -- you are also a Rafa Fan? I have rafa as a great favorite too, as everyone might know now...but i also always liked David's game.
I always thought that David has the had the most polished game out there........when he is behaving like a serious tennis player....hehe
Yes Graf_Sampras, I am a huge Rafa fan. Nalbandian is far too streaky for me to consider myself a "fan" of his, but I more than respect his game. He has the capability to make so many look like club players.
During the Australian Open, the commentators ticked me off though. He was changing his shirt and they openly mocked his weight on air. It's one thing to say "he doesn't seem fit" - and it's another to actually giggle and laugh like school girls.
