Why Nalby? Why???? I was so looking forward to this match.. Nalby is supposedly out of Rome also.

Methinks Nalby was running away from Rafa....

NOT! Up until Indian Wells this year David owned Nadal. Whatever it is with his hip, hope it's not too serious. Bummer, these two have never met on clay....was looking forward to seeing this one.

Me too. I confess I was a bit worried about it, too. Nalbandian has the goods to get Rafa, clay or not, and doubtless was feeling vengeful after his showing in IW.

Hips. Yuk, don't like the sound of that - Lleyton and Guga come to mind, I know there's others - that type of chronic injury seems to prevent players from ever finding their best form again.

OTOH, Rafa, not playing dubs here or at MC, and now with a walkover, gets a tiny break. If he wants to defend his results from last year's tear, this can only help.
