Forget trying to post my thoughts on this tape-delayed match between Serena Williams and Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez in the Day 7 Open Thread.
Let's talk about the match here if you don't know the results or even if you do. Just to spoil this thread with any forecasts of this match. Thank you in advance.

Look at Serena fight herself to try to stay composed.
Just look at her.
"She loves Paris more than Paris loves her."
Interesting that that meme is spreading like fear.
As though this is the first time anyone noticed.
Nice one-handed backhand lob to win the point. 0-30. C'mon, sistergil, take this set.
Ugh.
So with the assist of a terrible call and pure selfishness, Serena has to go three sets to win her third rounder.
She cheated Craig. Plain and simple and then she lied about it.

I'm watching it now with you, but ... this really irks me. People get on Serena about her confidence and what she says in interviews. She does NOT cheat on court. She does not question a bunch of line calls. She believes in fair play and they are reminding of us "another" player who cheated her out of a point at Roland Garros.
ugh!
Lovely. They move ahead in the match, skipping the first 5 games of the second set.
Pamela, is there a spoiler in that link? If so, I won't look at it.
That slice forehand winner was nice. I really don't want to give this player credit for anything right now, but a good shot is a good shot.
Wait til the match is over to read it Craig. I'm sure TTC will replay it later. I hate missing whole games. Ugh!
I really, really, really, really, really don't like this Martinez Sanchez person.
I really, really, really, really, really don't.
I'm glad the match is level.
One more set, Serena. Show this, this, this, this ...... player the fucking door.
What's wrong with Serena????!!!!
Did she just throw up?
And she was sick?
Yes, she had a stomach issue. Not a spoiler Craig, just telling you.
Serena is applauding this player's shots?
After what went down in the first set?
How gracious. She's far more gracious than I could ever be in the same situation.
Bravo.
Sick? Really?
Damn.
Thanks, Pamela.
I wonder if she's having nothing more than a physical catharsis.
This match is almost a total flashback.
::
A tornado is blowing through here right now.
C'mon Serena. Please serve this out. 5-2 deuce.
Stop double faulting!!!
Ugh.
Of course this player is going to fight. You don't do what she did and then bow out gracefully.
This crowd has been firmly behind the player, but it least it hasn't been rude to Serena.
This woman took a set off of Dinara a few weeks ago on clay. She should have won the match, to be honest but she choked and Dinara remembered who she was and took over.
Thanks, Mary Carillo. Tell the truth and shame the devil. Serena doesn't cheat.
Thanks, Pamela. So that's why everybody was talking about this being an upset. I remember posting the score of that match, but didn't think twice about it.
Serena better serve this mess out and get off this court a winner.
If not for Andy's victory earlier, I'd be spitting bullets about what's gone down here.
Pure grace.
Go head, sistergirl. Go head.
She shook her hand, but still ... she's called names. It really irritates me.
lol@what would you use??
That's right. She cheated. Period.
That interview was fabulous.
I hope whatever ails Serena goes away forthwith.
