So I just returned from dropping my mothers off at the airport to check the scores and see that defending champion Andy Roddick lost in the first round of Beijing to qualifier Lukasz Kubot in straight sets. And no, Juan Martin del Potro's first round upset to Edouard Roger-Vasselin at the Japan Open wasn't exactly consolation.
RF is fatigued.
The other Andy is injured.
Serena Williams will regain the No. 1 ranking next week? Interesting. Let's see if the ITF will suspend her anyway.
Somebody, please, tell me what the hay has been going on in tennis. I haven't been able to pay much attention at all.

Not even the sports writers have much to report these days. It has been like that. I am sure that others can add more.
Matt Cronin is reporting that other "official" folks have come forward with additional version of what Serena allegedly said to the lineswoman. There is talk of suspending her for 2 majors. People are giving credence to Matt Cronin's piece as it is said he usually gets info from the horse's mouth. Bloggers and tennis fans alike are of the view that she should not be suspended and that if anything her earnings from the Open should be taken from her.

What did Serena allegedly say?
The rumor from Cronin is old news. He's already come out and said after that and said that Serena is unlikely to be suspended, but if anything it will be USO 2010 - nothing else is on the table.
Sharapova did say "is her last name Jankovic" in reference to Azarenka who called a medical time out or two. Azarenka has proven to me that she's a choker. She's up 5-2, 30-0 and she loses the match anyway. Not the first time she's given away massive leads.
Baghdatis is unfortunate to have met Rafa. He played decently. In Roddick's defense, the kid he lost to is no slouch. He's got potential to be a nice player. I think he made the final in Serbia. (not saying much but still ... )
Del Po losing was about as shocking as .. ok so it wasn't. He's partied, young, just won a major and according to him he's jet lagged with a tummy ache. (not excuses he said lol)
Jelena for all of her drama IS nursing an injury. If she didn't call the trainer every match people would take her more seriously, but I do believe she's injured. What else?
The last 3 spots of the YEC are up for grabs. It depends on how a few do. Venus, Zvonareva will probably get two.
